We read the documents no one else has the capacity to read, and turn them into evidence.

Six data scientists and machine-learning engineers inside the Autonomy Institute. We scrape, model and extract at a scale that used to need a corporate budget. Since 2020 we've put it to work for unions, charities, newsrooms and campaigners.
Capabilities
01Network analysis We scrape filings, donations, contracts and the open web, then use LLMs to pull out the entities and links. Scattered records become a map of who is connected to whom.
02Economic & labour modelling Microsimulation, input-output models and bespoke indices. We quantify what policy debates assume but rarely measure: landlord profits, deprivation, the price of climate shocks.
03Document intelligence LLM extraction across millions of documents: annual reports, job ads, regulatory filings, transcripts. We tag and classify them into datasets you can query.
04Tools & data products Public-facing tools: searchable databases, trackers, indexes. The people who need the findings can use them without a data team.
